Hi Kamil,

Thanks for the response. It is my understanding that the B2C API can only be used if the client (Credit Union/Bank) leverages the Finastra Digital banking, thus there is a username/password with which to authenticate the end-user. However, in our case, we're trying to solve for when the client uses a 3rd party digital banking solution - hence using the b2b api and authenticating the end-user through other channels.

Thanks,

Ramy

your model is an OpenBanking workflow, as i understand you want to build a 3rd party app , most of the time your app will be redirected to the bank identity provider. So that even if you are a 3rd party provider you do not handle login/password it goes out of your band Fintech following Oauth2 model.
using a b2b model can also be an option but then it is a question of trust between the bank and the provider, and also about 'restriction' capability handle by the b2b API

Hi Francois,

So in our use case it is not leveraging bank identity provider on a regular basis. But say that it is, how is that identity (username/password at bank identity provider) connected to their Finastra profile? Is that token from the identity provider then passed on to Finastra and connected to the cust profile? Is that is how it knows which profile to associate the token with when we hit the b2c api?

Thanks,

Ramy
